چکیده
In our study, we aimed to measure the dose exposed by fetus during three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) and intensity-modulated (IMRT) treatment techniques in pregnant patients who had undergo due breast cancer with thermoluminescence dosimetry (TLD) compare these measurements planning system (TPS). 2.5 mm- thick computed tomography (CT) images of Alderson Rando phantom device were taken for measurements. order TPS TLD readings PTV, 60 TLDs placed target volume phantom. Twenty-four 30th 31st sections phantom, which is likely be volumetric size first trimester pregnancy also located 25.84 cm from lower limit PTV. Six MV used seven different repeated 5 times each technique averaged. Fetal doses all found as 0.00 cGy. However, measured between 3.36 ± 0.19 cGy 16.10 2.04. 3D-CRT received lowest dose. addition, plans made using IMRT method, it seen that MSS-IMRT provides better fetal protection compared SW-IMRT technique. The should priority a patient has left RT, but if desired dose-volume histogram (DVH) cannot obtained 3D-CRT, may preferred.

Background: To date, different kinds of treatment methods have been proposed for radiotherapy of cancer patients. Choosing the kind of treatment method affects the quality of the patient's treatment. This study aims to investigate the effect of the number of radiation treatment sessions on the dose received by the patient and the distribution of tumor dose and dose received by organs at risk in...
متن کاملDosimetric comparison of two different whole brain radiotherapy techniques in patients with brain metastases: How to decrease lens dose?
Background: Palliative whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT) has been the standard treatment for brain metastases. Ionizing radiation is known to be one of the most potent cataractogenic agents. We aimed to evaluate two different radiotherapy techniques with respect to the doses received by the organs at risk (OAR) in patients with brain metastasis who undergone WBRT. Materials and Methods: Ten conse...
متن کاملDosimetric comparison of whole breast radiotherapy using field in field and conformal radiotherapy techniques in early stage breast cancer
Background: We aimed to compare field-in-field technique (FIF) with conformal tangential field radiotherapy (CRT) in terms of dosimetric benefits for early stage breast cancer radiotherapy. Materials and Methods: Twenty consecutive left-side breast cancer patients who underwent breast-conserving surgery were included to the study. For each patient, two different treatment plans were cr...
متن کاملDosimetric comparison of conventional and field-in-field techniques in early stage breast cancer radiotherapy
Introduction: Breast conserving surgery followed by adjuvant radiotherapy (RT) of the whole breast is accepted as the treatment of choice in early stage breast cancer. Due to breast irregularities, it is difficult to access homogenous dose distribution with conventional techniques. Currently, it is possible to use varied breast irradiation techniques, such as field- in-field (F...
متن کاملA comparison of contralateral breast dose due to breast cancer radiotherapy using two different treatment machines in a radiotherapy center
Background: The radiation dose received by contralateral breast (CLB) is one of the concerns of breast radiotherapy, because it may lead to the induction of secondary breast cancer. The aim of this study was to evaluate the CLB surface dose in the breast treatment in Yazd radiotherapy center. Materials and Methods: The surface dose of CLB was measured using TLD dosimetry in 50 cancer breast pat...
